The Sleepy Poet Antique Mall, located at 4450 South Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28209, is great for your Mid-Century Modern Christmas shopping!

No Rhyme or Reason. Just Cool Stuff.

Sleepy Poet was voted “Best Antiques of Charlotte” by the Charlotte Magazine 2011. What is Sleepy Poet? 55,000 sq ft of shopping, bargain-hunting, and great MCM finds! “The Poet” is an antique store that needs to be experienced – it’s not your mother’s antique mall!

On my last visit I found some really good furniture. Here are some of my favorite lamps that were displayed.

If you go for nothing else… go there and buy some new seating! These chairs and couches are amazing and will really bring a room to life.

This chair is a creation of Shawna Robinson of Happy Chair, an affiliate of The Poet.
Happy Chair finds worn and weathered pieces and gives them new life. Shawna’s heart, soul and hands personally go into each piece of furniture designed to be a Happy Chair. She mixes and reconstructs new and vintage fabrics. Exciting patterns and inspired details bring unique character to life in each original piece. Once completed each Happy Chair is given a name based on its distinct personality. It takes time, creativity and patience but the end result is magic derived from passion.

These chairs are the perfect couple and named for their obvious design, Modern Smooch Chair.

This love seat is my favorite. It’s classy, sleek and vibrant. I don’t believe this gem is sold online… so you know what that means! You’re going to have to make a trip over to The Sleepy Poet before someone else does.
